Follow Your Dreams by Dana Bass Solomon-Sagewater Springs Co-Owner and Steward
I’m writing a note to introduce my/ourselves to those of you we haven’t met. And to share a bit of my long history in this Mohave Desert.
Way back when, I co-managed and developed the Spa at Two Bunch Palms, then was promoted to GM-which I led for 13 years. Some called that time the ‘Golden Era’. We curated an extraordinary team of gifted body workers, artists and brilliant humans who loved their work, the land, water and our amazing guests. Special Times.
I was enchanted North after 13 years and recruited to lead hollyhock.ca as CEO. An educational center located at the end of the road on the west coast of North America on Cortes Island.
Gatherings, Programs and many unlikely Conversations happened there over the course of a decade and a half…and I met the love of my life, Joel Solomon! Over the years while working up North, I and we continued to make trips to our favorite desert and look after our little rock house.
Family, Friends and Colleagues continued to visit, enjoy the desert, Joshua Tree and the magical and healing waters of Miracle Hill. Joel and I have spent dozens of nights staying at the different properties on the Hill. Miracle Manor, The Good House,
Two Bunch Palms, Sagewater Springs, and more!
We love sharing the desert with our people-it’s warm thermal mineral water, fantastic hikes, swimming and starlight. I have always had a dream of owning and stewarding my own small hotel Spa property on Miracle Hill.
It’s been almost 2 years now-Joel and I (and Ziggy too) have received the benefit of working on, sweetening, and taking this piece of beautiful land, water and 7 room mid mod hotel and Spa. We are crafting it towards its next iteration. More to be done, always.
Such a joy, and lots of time in the water each day.
We truly believe that time in this desert in a simple peace filled environment heals and draws forth creativity.
Feeling good and grateful to you, and our small + mighty team.
Thanks to each of you for coming to stay with us, and making it all possible.
As we used to say, and it still rings true… ‘It’s the Water’.
We warmly welcome you back. To yourself and Sagewater Springs.
